Moment 43: The Wedding
What is culture? Culture is us. It’s the shared beliefs and behaviors we hold dear – by virtue of our histories, families, ethnicities, religion. Our experiences. This footage gathered dust in our founder’s attic for 50 years until we digitized and cut it. It’s his parents’ wedding, so shot before he was born, but here are people at an important ceremony, wearing specific clothing, driving certain cars, and behaving deliberately. This is culture. It’s existed since man started making things: clothing, language, tools, ideas. And it will outlive us all.
